Assistance on getting an app idea started

What do i need to do? I believe i have a great idea but i dont know where to even begin. Do i start by presenting the app to apple? Thanks for any info.

Hello there, I'm also getting started in the development arena. I'd suggest signing up for a free development id at apple. You can then Download the SDK and have access to a lot of documentation. Also google for a pdf book called "BecomeAnXcoder" It is a very entry level description of programming for iphone good luck
