    Will it work with Tomtom GPS

    I am planning to buy an Iphone and I want to know will the bluetooth of iPhone connect with Tomtom one.

    I haven't been able to get it to work with my TomTom One.

    yeah, I'm afraid the iphone bluetooth services are a bit "dumb" -- you can pair with a headset and that's about it; nothing really use such as using it as a "router" to the Internet for the tomtom or your laptop etc.

    I do know that the iPhone pairs up nicely with Garmin Nuvi 660 and 680 GPS units. I have a 680 and don't have any problems.

    Hopefullly TomTom will fix the pairing problem soon with updates.

    iphone and GPS

    Are there any Bluetooth GPS units that will operate with the iphone?

    When you say "pairs up", I assume you mean the hands free function? What does it do with those gps units specifically? Since the iPhone isn't yet enabled for serial bt functionality, there haven't been any gps units that have been able to work for navigation with the iPhone. Its a real shame, too.

    It will allow hands free but NO trafic or weather

    I have not been able to get my iphone to link up with TomTom. It is very frustrating as the blue tooth functionality was one of the "big plusses" with my investment in the phone.

    This will be somthing TomTom has to update. My Garmin GPS works perfectly with my iPhone.

    so does that mean you use google maps with it . I mean how does that work with garmon explain please.
