I did confirm that "Next Track" is a valid voice command and unless there is something different when using voice commands over a BT headset, it should work fine.

Unfortunately, I'm in the midst of packing for a move from Austin, TX to Boca Raton, FL so I don't have my BT headset out and available to confirm. Sorry.

just tested "next track" and "previous track" with the original apple headset and both commands work, I don't see why they shouldn't over BT.
I got the belkin sportband today, there is a slit on the bottom to connect the 30 pin connector, so in the end I will be able to get the sony BT dongle and have it connected while the iphone is in the band! In the end even if the voice control doesn't work with the iphone BT, I can always use the dongle...

I hate to break the news to you but "next track" and "previous track" work ONLY with the original Apple headset, NOT with stereo BT headsets.

Ok, just got my Sony adapter and altec backbeats... The phone part does not work, I can hear it ringing but can't answer or place calls. As for the audio part all works, next track, previous track, volume, play/pause and mute... Oh well I guess I'll just have to rake the phone out of my armband to answer... Kinda dissapointed...

Did you try pairing the backbeats to the iphone's built-in BT as well as to the Sony adapter? That might work, as the Sony adapter is only for A2DP audio and not for phone.

Can't pair it to two sources at once. I tried pairing it to the phone itself and works great, the music works, volume, calls, pause and the rest, the only thing that doesn't work is the next track but I can use the voice control to do it... Basically I spent money on the sony adapter for nothing...
