Official Infiniti Bluetooth and iPhone Compatibility Discussion
I received a PM from an Infiniti G35 owner who has confirmed usability with the iPhone. He is able to make and receive calls, but has not been able to use address book. Feel free to chime in if you own an Infiniti.
I will be getting the Iphone shortly, and have a 2006 M35X, and was wondering if it would pair with that as well ?

I contacted Infiniti because I could not find any instructions on their web site to sync an iphone with the cars bluetooth. The response I got from the Infiniti Bluetooth Information Center, was that the Apple iphone was not compatible with the 2007 Infiniti FX. Does anyone know if syncing with the 2007 FX is possible, and if so how? If not, is there an aftermarket hands free car kit you can recommend?

Hi Everyone! I'm new to iPhone (TODAY YEA!) but I am a Sales Consultant and Product Specialist for Infiniti, To my knowledege you can sync both your address book and iPhone to any of the models. If you can't, stop in your local Dealership and ask service or sales. They SHOULD be happy to assist you. If you are in VEGAS, come see me AND I'll show you that G37 with 330hp as well! Good Luck
PS: I'll try mine tomorrow in one of the '07 G35's and FX's and let you know.

Thanks for the heads up. I was waiting for someone to pair it up with Infiniti as I have an 06 M35X, and I assume it will pair with that as well. So I guess I will get one today...

I have a 2007 Infiniti G35. The iPhone pairs great with the Handsfree Bluetooth (in fact it pairs automatically everytime I get in the car without any hassle). Making outgoing calls is great. In fact everything is great, EXCEPT there is a 5-10 second delay that happens while answering incomming calls.
For example, the phone rings, I answer, and it seems for a second the bluetooth handsfree connection is established, so I say "hello", then WHAM it switches back to my radio (which at first made me think I was losing the connection).
However I learned if I'm patient, the handfree operation will resume normally after a few seconds (5-8 seconds). Problem is... by the time the connection is established my callers have given up, or are left confused, and I have to tell them "Sorry... it's this **** iPhone!"
I paired my car with 2 other phones without this problem. On my old phone, there was a feature on the handset that allowed me to disable the handset, while connected to a Bluetooth handsfree device.
Thanks. Got the phone and it paired faster than my Samsung E-815. It seems like allof the Apple products I have tried work extremely well. Good design.

Have AT&T set your phone to ring longer so the Infiniti can pick it up.

i picked up my infiniti g37 coupe yesterday and immediately hooked up my iphone. bluetooth pairing works great, can make and receive calls and all of the iphones music is shown on the nav screen. Unfortunately i could not get any of the iphones address book info downloaded to the car. I tried intiating the download of those contacts from the both the car and from the phone.. neither worked.
