There will be another update out in a few weeks too.
Your dealer should be able to update it for you.
Here is a site that offers a solution to these problems. Hope it hasn't been posted already. Enjoy!

This is basically the same thing as the nav-tv unit.
It will re-enable your u-connect system.
However, this won't fix your iphone profile issues with the MyGIG unit.

That software comes from a company called Harman Becker.
They make the stereo for Chrysler.
A new update just came out in the past few weeks too

Default iPod use

This is probably a very naive question, but will I be able to listen to the iPod portion of my iPhone through the uConnect? I have the 2007 Chrysler 300 w/nav system and I'm currently using the FM connection to listen to my albums & podcasts. I am trying to decide if the uConnect will make the reception clearer.

I would appreciate any help with this.

Thank you!

No it's not niave,
While technically possible I do not believe the iphone or the radio is set up to work this way. The cleanest audio would probably be to use the regular audio out mini jack on the iphone and the mini jack audio input on the radio.

Thanks, however there is NO mini jack audio input on the Nav/radio of my car. Only the 300s without Nav has the AUX input. Now what?

Well,

It sounds like you have one of the FM systems that broadcast your ipod/iphone over FM. Chrysler makes an ipod connection kit that is similar except it connects inline with your stereo's antenna. This at least in theory has less interference. you could look into one of those.
Or while I know it's expensive you could look into a stereo replacement.

Which radio do you have?
Do you have a picture of it?

It was factory installed system. The manual for the car only shows radio without Nav system. Seperate book for Nav system. How does the ipod connection kit work? wouldn't that just be over FM as well? I don't have any pictures.

• Can-B Integrated (#82209617AC -$215) for the Chrysler Aspen, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Chrysler 300, Dodge Magnum, Dodge Charger, Dodge Caliber, Dodge Ram, Dodge Durango, Dodge Dakota, Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Commander.

I found this integration kit on another thread....is this what you were talking about?

It is but supposedly gets better reception because it's connected directly to your stereo's antenna. It sounds as though you may be better off to look to the aftermarket for a solution.

It wouldn't hurt to check with your dealer though to see if they have a solution.

Yes that is it, notice there are two versions.
One is FM, the other is canbus (The same as your stereo) in other words it's hard wired into your stereo, no need for FM.

I would try the Canbus version.
