If all else fails I would contact Susanne at Nav-TV, hopefully she can help you out. Sorry for your troubles im sure its frustrating
Yeah it's the same.
I already sent susanne an e-mail but haven't heard from her yet.
I wish I had another iphone to try with it.

I heard a 3G iphone may be coming out in January

Default ok...

Hi, I'm really confused by what is going on here...can someone enlighten me please...I have an 08 wrangler I just go as well and I have the little phone button for calls but the dealer said it does not work with the wrangler, I do not have a MyGig system...what is AllGig? Is there any product I can buy to make that button work on my wrangler? I have already ordered a Parrot MK6100 wireless bluetooth kit so I may just stick with that....

Yes there is something to make the button work it's a third party box that re-enables that feature the dealer told you doesn't work.
It's made by navtv http://www.navtv.com

They make a couple different boxes for Chrysler
One's called a BlueGIG, it re-enables your button, the second ones called a freeGIG it allows front panel display while in motion, and the third is called an AllGIG that combines the two.

You wouldn't need the FreeGIG or the AllGIG since you don't have front panel video. However a BlueGIG will re-enable that button for you

I think the Parrot is a handsfree third party solution yes?
It should do for you what the blueGIG will do for you, it's just not built in.

The parrot is a complete 3rd party hands free solution.

The BlueGIG re-enables your wranglers built in hands free feature.

If your interested go to the navTV website and call Susanne.
She's very nice and very helpfull.

Since you say you don't have the MYGIG I assume you have the regular radio.

What a Pisser..... I have an inline caller I.D blocker on my home phone.
This was the cause of this behavior. I'm not sure if any caller I.D blocked call will act the same or not. I suspect this is an iphone/caller I.D blocked issue.

Because when I tested the motorola SLVR with my home phone it worked fine.
It did not act the same way as the iphone.

I suspected something was amiss earlier today when I got in the jeep while talking to a friend, as soon as I started the jeep the u-connect took over the call automatically.

With a caller I.D Blocked incoming call the iphone will ring but the U-connect system will not recognize it as an incoming call.
At least here in south eastern MI.
I'm not sure if it does this everywhere or if it will do this with other handsfree/headset systems.
But I verified it by dialing *67 before dialing my iphone.

YOUR MY-GIG NEEDS TO BE UPDATED TO SOFTWARE VER 9.561. GO BACK TO YOUR DEALER AND HAVE THEM UPDATE THE MY-GIG SOFTWARE, AND YOUR IPHONES WILL NOW WORK.

AS FAR AS WRANGLERS, CHRYSLER WILL NEVER MAKE A U-CONNECT KIT AVAILABLE. HERE IS THEIR REASON" THERE IS TOO MUCH CABIN NOISE IN A WRANGLER FOR A UCONNECT TO OPERATE CORRECTLY."

Chrysler doesn't make the U-connect option for the wrangler but everything is already there except the microphone.

Buy the BLUEGIG or ALLGIG from navtv and it comes with the mic.
I have had it installed for several months and it works fine in a wrangler.
All it does is re-enable the built in U-connect and voice recognition.

If you have the top off it probably doesn't work that well but so what.
The majority of the time my top is not off.

Mine was a dealer installed option, sot the rearview doesn't have a mic.

There are two products from NAV-TV (Phone - (866) 477-3336) (http://www.navtv.com) ask for susanne. There is the bluegig and the allgig.
The bluegig gives you a mic and a box that re-enables your uconnect.
The allgig does that plus allows video in motion.
This is not a complete 3rd party bluetooth solution, rather it re-enables your factory system.

If you have the MYGIG unit I would recommend the ALLGIG

This happens whether I initiate the call from the iPhone or from the uConnect system.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there some setting I am missing on the iPhone? My uConnect system was working previously with a T-Mobile Wing running the Windows Mobile 6 operating system without issue. Has some firmware or something come out for iPhone yet that I need?

Any responses are surely appreciated!

There's a sw update for your mygig that will fix it.
There will be another update out in a few weeks too.
Your dealer should be able to update it for you.
