Hi Guys
I am new here, I just got the new iPhone 3GS. Does anyone know if its totally compatible with the Motorola Motorokr S9 stereo bluetooth headset? I was reading some of the blogs about it on google but all I can I find is not compatible with 3G phones, can't find anything about the 3Gs just yet, does anyone know if I will be needing to purchase the adaptor for it? To me that would not make sense if its suppose to be a "stereo bluetooth". Hows the quality? Thank you
That's good to know. I just bought one from ebay brand new for $20- free shipping, and after I ended the auction, it said you need adaptor for iphone and ipods to workI was a bit disappointed. I wonder if the sound quality is more stereo instead of mono because they also have the S9-HD..Thank you for letting me know... it wouldnt make sense if apple released a stereo bluetooth for 3GS and not be able to use the headset.. thanks again
Please update me on this...I was considering buying it....

I have the motorola s9 and it works fine with the 3GS - the sound is great. However, the skip song buttons do not work. I can adjust the volume fine.
A 3G phone WILL work with these headphones so long as it is updated to the iPhone 3.0 software update. A2DP does NOT work on the original iPhone, even with the software update.
Quick edit: AVRCP (the ability to skip forward through songs) is not supported by apple. So no matter what headset you get, that will be the issue.

Well the skip buttons are important. If those don't work, it's not worth buying.

well i don't think the skip forward and backward buttons are that important of a factor as of the moment they can be fixed in near future. the iphone has that new shake feature to skip songs.
Okay thanks guys... Great info... I don't care for the skip buttons
I usually have my genius turned on.. Hopefully
genius works on it as well
Has anyone been able to use the 'skip song' feature on the motorola S9 with the 3GS?
Thanks so much for your help!
My third party app Bluetooth Helper in the app store now lets you skip tracks on your iPhone over Bluetooth.
It's an indirect solution, but it works well. If your headset can play and pause the iPhone (as the Motorola S9 apparently can), then you tap Play/Pause twice to go to the next track, or tap it three times to skip to the previous. It's up there for $0.99, hope you enjoy it.
