Ford Sync and Iphone

Just got a new Ford with Sync. My 3G works via the sync perfectly. Some issues of the interphase if anyone can help please

1) When activating the phone via the radio or from the steering wheel, the inistial voice that comes on acknowledge the comman or request the next command is very loud. There seems to be no way to control the voices volume.
2) When using the the USB input and in itunes mode, the iphone goes to a standard screen and all is controlled form the car. You can just go to the next song or alblum and play, no browsing. Is there a way to get the itunes screen up on the iphone without switching to the aux input?
