Default Data pairing (ppp) to another phone?

Hey,

I realise the iPhone's menus have no support for this, but I'm assuming something is likely possible given the iPhone is essentially mini-OS X and we can ssh/Terminal into the thing.

Is it possible to 'pair' to another handset for data services? As in, are there command line utilities available to do bluetooth things? And I assume one would probably just utilise ppp with a custom script, as per the way it's done on OS X?

I say this because I'd love to pair it to a small 3G phone also in my pocket. I'm not in the US and the only option for EDGE where I am is sttttupid expensive.

Thoughts/ideas/clues/comments?
