Default Can you connect to another phone thru bluetooth?

My wife has a blackberry 8110 and we tried to connect our phones through Bluetooth and she was able to discover mine, and my iPhone discovered her phone but I wasn't able to connect to her phone, but she was able to connect to mine? Isn't the a2dp supposed to allow the Iphones to connect to other phones?

I believe A2DP is only for connecting stereo music via bluetooth to another device like a wireless headset etc. What your talking about is peer to peer and that is only available on certain games.

Using bluetooth is one of the only things I miss from using other phones. It's just another thing apple does to do you over once again. I think we may see it in the future, but not just yet.

There is a bluetooth app available via cydia- but I could never get it to work. So if anyone else has had any joy then I would love to see how.

You can do it using iBluetooth but your iPhone has to be jailbroken for that to work. Sorry.

you need to check the other phone's settings. sometimes you have to change to connectivity settings on a bluetooth phone to "visible to all" otherwise no phone will be able to connect unless it's already been paired.

Yeah i've downloaded iBluetooth after jailbreaking it and i've got the same issues as you, it found my mates phone and according to the iPhone i sent it, but she never received it, i tried a few times but no joy.

While we're on the subject, how do i uninstall it? trying it the conventional way you dont get the small black 'x' in the corner.

Do you mean the iphone software? has jailbreaking the phone restored the phone to pre-updates? and if i do update will the jailbreak still be in place? I'm sure its already at 3.1.2 though
