I've never seen that. All I get is a small blue speaker icon in the bottom right. Tapping it allows me to select the output.

Maybe it's the bluetooth profile of my headset that's the problem. It's annoying as my headset doesn't have any volume controls.

I've just checked this on my 3GS (was using the 3G before) and it's the same, however, the sound delay on video seems to be gone with the 3GS. Or maybe it's the 3.1 that's fixed it.

I still need the volume control though.

When paired to a bluetooth headset your volume controls will still work. Only on certain bluetooth headsets have volume control, but thats only volume for the headset itself, not the overall volume control i.e the iphone's

For those who have noticed the nasty A/V sync issue when watching video and listening through BT stereo headphone - I think I found a consistent fix. Power on your BT headphones (already paired, natch), and start video playback. Pause video playback, switch audio from the BT headphones back to the iPhone, then back to the BT headset. Resume playback and A/V should not be synced. Works reliably for me.... hopefully for you as well!

No. I only see the volume controls when using the speaaker. They're disabled as soon as I connect my headset, or to my car, via bluetooth.
