Bluetooth w/iPhone 3G in a 2009 MINI Cooper (with Nav)

    Hi All,

Just upgraded my '06 MINI Cooper to an '09. Got the Nav and Bluetooth options. All I can say is WOW! The phone sync'd to the car without a hitch. The phone's full contacts list is now accessible from the Nav display as well as by voice. It also shows the missed and recent calls, and maintains a "top 8" list. Of course it does full matching of names/numbers when calls come in but by far my favorite feature is being able to finally dial by voice. "Dial Jones Bob at home" and it works! The only nit is that it shows when the phone is connected, but it doesn't show battery or signal status. Otherwise, everything is kewlio. I can also connect the phone via the provided USB/Dock cable to charge and play music.

This is a huge upgrade over prior MINI BT/iPhone setups, so I'm pleased.

Wish I could say the same about my '09 V Dub w/ BT and Nav. No iPhone connection there!! I also have a media in usb connection that does not connect to any of my iPods/iPhone, I have to settle with an aux in plug.

    Congrats on the new Mini!!
