Bluetooth sometimes stops working

We have 2 phones. Mine is working as it should with bluetooth but the wife has issues. She has had 2 different BT headsets and each one will work for a day then all of the sudden the BT will not work with the iphone. It will not allow her to sync or pair. After trying different things, it may work again.

Do both phones have wi-fi switched on?

I hear wi-fi and BT can, in some cases, interfere.
