It all depends what Bluetooth chipset the manufacturer implemented in the headset. Some headsets enter what is known as "Parked mode" and some headsets stay active.

For example, Nokia phones, when you transfer the call audio to the phone, the phone actually disconnects the Bluetooth link instead entering a standby state. When you decide to transfer the call to the headset, it will take longer due to this implentation.

yep i get the same thing with my motorola h700,only with the iphone tho,with a nokia it worked fine,time to look for a new headset then,what i really like about the motorola is,when you close it,it turns off so incase its in your pocket it wont dial any numbers,shame i cant use it...
