upgrade eligibility question??

OK, I purchased the iphone 3G July 12, 2008, so I am assuming I was an "early adopter". So do I qualify for the $199 16 gb 3G S?

Yes, I did that and it gives me the 399$ price, but I keep reading stuff that says those who bought a 3G July-Sept of last year get the 199 deal, so I'm confused.

Instead of using the website, call 1 (800) 331-0500 and explain your situation. You'll find out for sure.

Then you will be able to. Not ALL of the call reps are really up-to-date with what's going on.
But if your plan is atleast $99 a month (you said yours was) then yes. They might have not updated this to include a search of plans in the process but if you're not far from a store a) ask if they have any left b) just go there if they do... do it in person. MUCH faster and you'll get your phone then.

Thanks for all the replies, everyone! I will try calling AT & T main number when they open here in the mountain zone, and also call the nearest store. Hope everyone is enjoying the new 3G S!
