    Unlimited Data usage

Hey guys whats up, im pretty sure evreryone knows me by now...so lets get to the point

i was really excited about my jailbreak, and proceeded inmediatley to installing the app/function that i love most, TETHERING, yes i love tethering,

so yesturday, my internet was out for about the whole day, and i didnt get home until around 5pm, when i got home, and started to get ready for college, my sister told me if she could use the tethering of my iphone, because she had some 'important stuff to do' so i said ok, after all, i have unlimited data plan,

i left my iphone tethering from around 5.45 pm, until i got back home at around 10.30pm,

and when i checked my usage of data, my sister racked up a huge amount of 1.3 gigs of data, and that let me thinking if i should worry about my next monthly bill

so my question is, how much data can you use, until ATT figures out that your doing something 'not normal' and decides to charge you,

by unlimited, is it really unlimited ?, i was doing some research online, and i saw that ATT will only allow you up to 5 gigs per month, is this true, ?

AT&T tends to care about the amount of data you use and where you use it. If AT&T finds you using data beyond a specific percentage of time (e.g., 70%) on roaming towers over a couple month period, you could find yourself no longer with AT&T.

Within network, AT&T doesn't care until you hit the 5 Gb point. There are some (me included) who have exceeded the 5 gb point without paying for overages. AT&T's CEO has even come out and said that the iPhone data use is truly unlimited.

As a good rule of thumb, try to keep your data use under 5gb of use/month. If you are concerned about how close you are to your monthly limit, log in to your AT&T account. Remember, the data online may not be current.
