    Prepaid iPhone

My friend is looking into getting an iPhone now that I see I have one, but they cannot afford the monthly bill. They wanted know if there was anyway that they can activate it with pay as you go. I know you can no longer type 9999999 in your social section, so does anyone know any other ways?

Your friend can always sign up with AT&T long enough to jailbreak and unlock, then cancel the contract within the window provided by AT&T. All your friend has to do is pop in a SIM card from a pre-paid phone.

If your iPhone is already jailbroken and unlocked, why don't you sell that to your friend and get a new one?

I dont plan on getting the new one ad they are going to buy a refurbished. So if I unlock there's can I just order an att prepaid aim on ebay and activate it that way for them? Or would they need to do something else? If so how would I activate it prepaid?

Your approach should work. Once your friend's iphone is unlocked, you can then put any activated SIM card in it. Remember, the SIM will enable your friend to make calls, but it won't let him/her use the data unless that data is part of the pre-paid package.

Wow! At first when I saw the iPhone, I was hoping that they're would be a pre-paid version, but after Apple/AT&T didnt release one I realized how crazy I must have been to even think that. Data would be outrageously expensive on prepaid, just imagine if you put $50 dollars into a your account, just to see that by the end of the day you had about 5 dollars left!

iPhones are like exotic cars (Ferrari's, Lamborghini's)
You cant buy one then expect to think that maintenance is only going to be about 500 dollars a month- more like $5000 a month. Or get by, by putting the cheapest gas you can find into. When you buy things like these you cant be cheap- not to sound rude or anything but its the truth bro
