long distance web/phone use ?

im leaving for my cruise tomorrow really early so i need a response ASAP. im going to the carribean like PR and i wana no if i get service for Edge internet would i get charged like a long distance internet charge ? if their is how much more is it ? and it is too late to get it now ?..

PS: how much more is longdistance talking minutes. i have the family plan and i think my dad has them. so do i have any ?

I would suggest calling at&t and asking them. Many have asked the same question as you and the same answer always comes up becuase we aren't always sure what it is. And if those asking do call at&t they never return and tell us the verdict.

Yeah if I were you I'd call them. Cuz you don't want it to end in a horror story like this guy, who racked up over a $3000 bill because of using it internationally. "Story Found Here"

i called up at&t. for anyone who wants to know..
using the web while on sea's is 2 cents PER kilobyte. and $2.49 each minute. this is expensive BECAUSE your using the satelite on top of the cruise ship.

.. i also think they said that Puerto Rico is included in the coverage so its not long distance ? DOUBLE CHECK THIS, the girl DID have an accent i couldn't under stand her very good.
