Free Wi-fi with AT&T?

I remember reading this last year that AT&T was offering free wi-fi to iPhone owners at all their hotspots (including starbucks, etc). Does this still hold true?

Yes, I still get free At&T wi-fi at Starbucks.

And supposedly it's much easier now with the auto login feature of the 3.0 firmware. Haven't had a chance to try it yet but that's what i'm told.

I tried this morning. It didn't work. I'm now on 3.0 but it still asked me to enter my phone number in order to receive a text message so i could connect.

I checked AT&T's website and it says it's up and running so I don't know why I wasn't able to auto-login.

I was able auto login at Starbucks with 3.0 without doing anything. I figured I had to type something in, but I just connected automatically.

It worked great for me today. I went to a Barnes and Noble and as soon as I was in the door it had connected to attwifi automatically.

Loved the speed and the convenience!
