Default Does receiving e-mails on iPhone count as Text Messages?

Do they?

If I receive and reply to an e-mail though my iPhone, does this count as a text message?

no. emails (sent and received through the Mail application on your iphone) use data. messages sent and received through the Text application are text messages and count against your monthly limit (unless you have the unlimited text plan, of course).

Another question though is: Does receiving an SMS Text Message from another user count as one of your 200?

And: Does AT&T have free IN text messaging.

The first answer I believe is yes, user account texts exchanges do count against your limit.

The second is answer is for $4.99 extra a month, AT&T gives you unlimited to text to AT&T only. This is the AT&T equivalent of "IN", except as mentioned, theres a small fee.

Yes any text whether sent or received counts against your count.

No-AT&T does not have free unlimited in network texts. as the poster above said they do have an add on option. That's my one gripe with AT&T so far. Texting is so expensive with them. I had unlimited texting regardless of network with Sprint for $10/mo. And with my Verizon account $10 for unlimited IN and 500 to other carriers. unfortunately right now most people i text are on Verizon
