ATT service does suck in NYC as some have said in this post. I constantly have dropped calls. I live on the 36th floor in my apt building, nothing blocks my reception and i constantly drop calls with full signal strength. I had verizon before ATT and never ever had a problem with dropped calls. Though verizon is way behind on their devices. IMO verizon also has pretty good customer service over the phone. I had gotten the moto Q when it first came out and after about 5-6 replacements they allowed me to switch to the treo 700wx which was so much better. ATT doesnt have the smartest service reps but they do try to find the answers for you.
I also think most cell phone stores are going to try to pull one over on us, especially if they dont know you from any other new customer. Ive been lied to plenty of times by the salesmen in verizon and ATT. just gotta stay a few steps ahead of them and call them out so hopefully they dont try it on the next guy. They each have positives and negatives i think. I left verizon for the iphone and have to live with my dropped calls and edge for now. but man my iphone is prettier then anything verizons' got out!
