Default Action MMS

Has anyone noticed that when you have "motion mms", I guess they are called that, that you can't view them full screen. Only on the small screen. If you try to open it, it just shows the first part of the cartoon or movement. Why did AT&T do this? Are they going to fix it?

Also, when sending those texts it doesn't always work with other phones and carriers. I feel like AT&T gave us a half assed MMS software.

At&t didn't give us the software apple did, at&t just had apple hold back the correct carrier file until they were ready. Apple is still very new to the phone industry and you have to admit for the iphone only being a little over 3 years old it is doing very well. And for only having added mms this past year they did a pretty good job. I'm sure their first concerns were that the media the iphone could take (pictures and video) with it's camera was supported over mms, now they will work on everything else. It's up to apple to support it with the software. I am sure apple has received feedback about it and will release a patch to deal with it. If it was at&t's fault you wouldn't have even received the animated picture(not sure exactly what they are called).

You can send feedback to let apple know about it http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

I never doubted the iphone. Just curious to see if it would maybe be fixed. Seems like something that is too common to just be "left out" by apple or whoever is responsible. My iphone can almost cook me a potpie but can't receive an animated mms? ;-) I guess I am just sick of the phone playing catch up to these simple things that crappy plastic flip phones do so well.

Ok I gotcha. Wasn't sure if it was an mms complaint. And I hope I didn't come off too harsh, just explaining. I am sure as long as it is brought to their attention they will address it soon, if they already aren't. I guess the best way to look at it is that you do get them at least and when it gets updated they will work as they should. I think mms was something apple was reluctant to add, but since most phones still don't do email or most people might not want to pay for the data plans to use that function of their phone they had to add it to the iphone. Just send them feedback about it so you can be sure they know and maybe it will be addressed in the next update.
