Hi all -
We recently discovered a nice "bonus" for those who plan to buy an iPhone. We changed my single plan to a family plan to add our daughter.
My husband was planning to buy an iPhone, so we added TWO lines to our family plan and got two free phones.
The next day, my husband bought an iPhone and ported over the new number (easy process at registration).
We now have our daughter's phone and have a new unused "back up" phone for if she ever loses or damages hers (Don't have to get the insurance for her phone.)
The change to the iPhone is considered an "upgrade", and we were not charged any fees or fines for this.
Seems like a good way to get the free phone that you would have gotten anyway with a 2 year contract and new activation.
