Most of the plug-in speaker accesories work just like the iPod if you select the no option when asked about "airplane mode". Not sure about the specific one you mentioned, but all the models I've tried (Bose, Klipsch, etc) function the same with the iPhone as they do with the iPod. If you select "no", you keep the phone function, wifi, and bt on.

just checked - i DO get the airplane mode message when docking my iphone in the hifi...

you will get the message, but you can just press no and it will work fine
