Hi everyone, I have an iPhone and a brand new razr v3xx and i dont know what to keep. The one reason i like the razr is because the Ringers are soooo loud so i never miss a call or a text which is nice. And the Razr is easy to take care of along with it haveing louder speaker and speakerphone. But other then that the iphone wins. I just cant stand it how the iphones text message notifitcations is so damn quite, its rediculous, like what were the thinking? So i dk what to do, should i keep the razr thats a better CALLING phone or keep the Iphone thats a more Fun phone? Any ideas?

I wish the iPhone worked as a phone the way the Razr does. The iPhone is great but you can not hear a thing on it, speaker, earpiece, tones, what were they thinking??? Thanks Joe

The answer should be simple - do you NEED a device with more capabilities than the RAZR offers? If so, keep the iPhone and deal with the quiet ringer like the rest of us. If not, keep the RAZR.

Can a software up date make the ringers alot louder or are they pretty much stuck?

If you used something such as ifuntastic
then yes:smile:
as you find the song you want to use as a ringtone

you can use nother type of software so edit the song (make it louder)

i think itunes allows you to do this as well (if you need more info on doing this, just quote me)

then add the song :) simple if you know the method!:2cool:

Not that there are a lot of similarities, but I remember when using the Treo 650, a firmware update helped the ringer and speaker volume a lot. It's hard to know without knowing the specific limitations of the hardware, though. I would think this is a common enough problem that Apple is surely working on a solution...

The ringers I've added are very loud (increased the volume of the MP3s).

My headset volume is OK (I just press the iPhone tightly against my ear, and can hear fine anywhere), but the speakerphone is of course anemic.

It's easy to see that louder ringers are possible just by playing a loud song in the iPod app (or a loud YouTunes clip). If these can be loud, so can ringers (and like I said, mine already are loud--now).

About the loudest standard ringer is "Old Phone" IMO.
