Want to be able to launch your favorite web page from homescreen? Heres your chance.
"Tired of going all the way to MobileSafari on your iPhone to use web apps that were built with the "sweet" iPhone SDK?
Provide iPhone Apper with a URL, name, and icon... and iPhone Apper will provide you with an application to install* (http://www.jonsthoughtsoneverything.com/iphone_apper/#install_notes) onto your iPhone. A quick reboot, and your favorite and most visited web application is available from the home screen."

I don't see what the problem is, this is working exactly how the OP mentioned.
Nowhere does it say this enables offline browsing.
Thanks for the link silent!

I'm on a PC and having problems downloading these tar files. They'll show up at 0k with nothing inside them. After trying about 10 times in all sorts of browsers, I finally managed to get a full Tar file.
I didn't want to deal with that again so I had a look inside the Info.plist for variables and found what I was looking for.
Just change the url strings using a text editor, rename the folder accordingly and you can create your own launchers without having to go back to the site.
You'll find:
com.Web-Url.embark
http://www.weburl.com
The first line, com.Web-Url.embark, appears to be named how you would like the URL to appear in the Springboard menu, the bit between the com. and .embark . You will need to match your folder name to what you set as this entry.
The second line is pretty obvious, it's the actual URL you want to launch.
So, the App folder would be named as follows for this example:
Web-Url.app
Pop in your icons, upload and +755 embark and you're good to go after a quick restart.
