I apologize if this issue has been discussed previously - i attempted to search the forum, but didn't find anything yet..
My issues are:
1. My work email is forwarded to my gmail account, which is sent to my iPhone. When I am at work, I don't need to access my email via phone so through Settings:Mail:Accounts:****@gmail.com I turn the account off. however, when I turn the account on I can't access my email.The Mail icon on the "home page" of the phone indicates that I have 49 unread emails. When I touch the icon I get the "Welcome to Mail" page which gives me the Yahoo, gmail, .mac, and AOL options. I can't get to my inbox. This has happened numerous times. What I have done in the past is to reenter my gmail account information and delete the old one. The problem,other than being time consuming and inefficient is that it then loads all these emails that have been deleted from BOTH accounts and cleared out of the trash folder. They are not in existence yet when i reload the account, they reappear!? Example: I just deleted my gmail account and added it back on b/c i couldn't access my email. now there are 81 unread emails showing up despite having only 10 messages in my inbox and NONE in my trash. I deleted all but 2 of these emails. There are emails dating back to late July which have long since been deleted. Then from 8/9 to to yesterday, there are none.
2. My second issue is that any email i send from my phone shows up in my inbox even though I have "Always BCC Myself" set to off. Why is this? is it because all sent mail is saved for some time?
