WinSCP problem!!

i was using winSCP normaly till today when i tried to use it to install a app on my iphone it didnt let me connect:frown:

it said network error: Connection refused.

I did have the same problem a couple days ago.

Double check on ip address.
I had some conflict when I loaded up 3 laptops to the network and one laptop took the same ip address when iPhone went to sleep.
Do ipconfig /renew or reset the ip on iPhone.

The iPhone's IP address can change several times in one day. Always check it before running WinSCP.

FYI: if you go to your iPhone's network settings and where it says DHCP, BootP, and Static Select Static once an IP Address has been assigned and then that will be a permanent IP Address for your iPhone.

Yea, if you are going to use SCP I definitely recommend using a static IP on the iPhone. There is enough to worry about without having to deal with changing IPs.

(And install rm on the iPhone too!)

Okay so ive been dealing with this problem for about 5 hours and I found out why. You need to putfile au.asn.ucc.matt.dropbear.plist using Iphoneinterface. So heres the file ive been doing this since 4 in the morning and slept and woke up at 8 LOL. oh yeah and if you guys can getfile /etc/master.passwd the original one for me please i messed up on mine.

Its a step by step guide to install NES. But now im stuck on the "WinSCP" part. I can't log in. I read somewhere on my phone i can find the ip address on the static tab but its not there. I tried logging in wit User:root Pass:dottie. I also tried alpine.

Please help, I don't know what im doing wrong.

BTW what is the proper Username and Password? b/c I read somewhere that is now alpine for the pass. Is that true?

i have the same problem, it woks for a while then suddenly connection drop.
