This post is in reference to the earlier post about dead spots/missing pixels.

I had an appointment with the Genius yesterday and he told me that he was not able to figure out as to what is the thing on the screen. It might be a dead spot/missing pixels/stuck pixel or just a bubble under the screen. The problem was that these spots started to increase in number everyday.
Finally he told me that my phone has crossed the 14 day return period and I have the option of taking an Applecare service phone for $30 (which I think is bull), while my phone is repaired. Why the heck do I have to spend when I wasn’t responsible for anything?? I asked him to waive it and he did not agree to the same.
Now, I have an 8GB Applecare service phone and all I have to do is wait on the repair. Just wanted to let you folks know about the status of these dead spots.
