When I was setting up my Iphone, I misspelled how I wanted to identify the phone. It came out Mike's Iphonr not iphone, is there a way to correct this ? Thanks in advance.

When you plug your iPhone into iTunes, it should recognize it on the left hand bar underneath all your music and such. All you do is double click on the name and retype what you want.

Maybe by going to Settings|General|Reset.
But you likely would lose all your data and might end up with an activation issue -- dunno. I'd call AT&T re activation loss before I did that.

I know my stuff with Apple. Do what I said before you do anything else. There is no need to reset it nor call AT&T.

Good .. I was writing my msg when you posted yours, or I wouldn't have bothered.

Thanks. Sometimes, the easiest way is the simplest.......

Do report when you do this successfully. I would be a bit concerned about that first sync between the Mac and the iPhone.

you can not sync songs from the phone, but you sync songs from itunes by clicking sync. if you only want to have the songs (lets say from a friend) make sure you are manually managing the song files. besides that i wouldn't imagine any other way to do so.

I think there is an option to view the folders from Iphone by using win-Amp player, but we need an add-in which gives the folders view from iphone in win-amp player,
Not sure but saw somewhere not tried with that.
If you know abt that can you tell me the details
Thanks & Regards,

There are many 3rd party programs that allow you to pull media from the iPhone directly to your pc. I think i read your using a windows machine, so try the software below

You actually can put music from your phone to itunes by using senuti (http://www.fadingred.com/senuti/) if you have a Mac. Doesn't work with a PC.

yes you both are correct. you can't directly take it off of the phone through itunes, but that won't be syncing it because you would be only taking off the files via some third party software. what if you add more songs to the phone? you would have to take off the files again so it won't be syncing.

Once you use senuti it automatically puts the music into your itunes and then it is in there for good. If you add music to your iphone besides purchasing them (purchased music transfers to itunes from phone if bought on the phone) just use senuti again and those too will go into itunes. It's that simple.

Thanks buddy It works fine,
Thanks a Lot
One more question from my side..
So any one tell me whether i-phone is a touch screen mobile phone, or touch sensitivity mobile phone.
I used windows and iphone 3g both, in windows I can use stylus any where like select copy paste etc.
Where as in iphone I can't use I have to touch my finger on the application icon It self, also no redo or undo exist.
I believe it just a Touch sensitivity based mobile, where it doesn't belongs to touch screen mobile.

It is a touch sensitive(heat) phone and a stylus will not work. Has to be a finger or something that has heat. There is an undo, if you want to undo something just shake the phone and a box will pop up. This works for text, copy/paste, etc.
