I just love this iphone... the screen is great the UI is awsome... Battery live is excellent for me....photos, music, etc.

EMAIL IS TOO INCONSISTENT AND OTA CALENDAR/CONTACT SYNC IS NON-EXISTENT.

When is comes down to it, I use my phone for 2 main things... talking on it and keeping in touch with my office (email and PIM). Both things my Treo does just fine.

It breaks my heart to go back to the treo... I really like the iphone alot, but Apple needs to play ball with microsoft or business users like myself will have a hard time getting it to do what it really needs to do...

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

1) Apple never said it was a business phone. It's an entertainment device.

2) That said, there are beginning to be workarounds and solutions:

Actually, Apple is marketing this device for the business user... do a search on the internet.. there is plenty of stuff out there on this.

Secondly, Synchronica only pushes email. It does not sync wirelessly with PIM because apple has not allowed 3rd party developers access to this. As of now, I and others have not been able to get Synchronica to work reliably with exchange server.

Apple... play ball.... play ball...

I agree I am anxiously awaiting OTA sync with contacts and calendar... And I would like it to support/hooks into Yahoo and Google for these functions. I am hoping for this change in the updates. So for now I am just tolerating the manual sync with the PC and limited functions for these two tools.

I feel your pain. I am just hanging loose for the updates.
