Vcast Song ID

What do you guys think of this service? Imagine this on the iPhone. Hopefully this will catch on and Apple implements a simmilar service into the iphone. Killer app, Imagine hearing a song Identifying it and having a pop up come up asking if you would like to purchase it and add it to your itunes library. :smile:

Even though, A)I don't listen to the radio that much and B) I'm pretty good at picking out titles of songs that I don't know, that would be pretty tight to have on your mp3 player or phone

This technology's incredible... they keep improving the algorythms used and the database of songs keeps growing. There's been different services like this out for awhile now but the first one I heard about was based in the UK about 5 years ago... basically it worked on any mobile phone, just hold it up and awhile later the service would sms you back an ID.

I agree... it would be neat to have Apple pick that up.

It dosn't need to be from the radio it could be playing on a cd or simmilar. I wonder though the strange ids you may get just from singing to the phone.
