had wi fi, now i don't. help please

my phone has been switching seemlessly between wi fi and edge. then yesterday i noticed i was on edge even though i was right next to my linksys. i went into settings and saw that wi fi wasn't connected for some reason so i reconnected it. later, after my phone had gone to sleep, i woke it up and saw that i was on edge again. same thing happened at work today. i'd connect, then the phone would sleep when i was done, and later when i woke it up, the wi fi was gone and i was back on edge.

i did a re-set and it is still doing it. just updated to 1.01 and still same.

what happened to it "just doing the right thing?"

any ideas, suggestions?

Try resetting your router. I know you may not be able to at work but at least it will help at home.

I had a similar situation and found that when it would flip to Edge, the router was semi-locked up (wired PCs worked great but no Wi-Fi). When I did it, it was good for a cpl of weeks but it happened again. Reset the router and "Boom"...

rememmber. after the restore, all password for emails and wifi will be deleted. you then have to enter the password again or the encrypted code for wifi
