There are a lot of goods and bads that come with all 3rd party apps being done through the web browser.

The goods are that the program always updates itself, the program doesn't take up memory on the iPhone, simple to program the apps and on and on and on...

The downside that is started to urk me (and I know there are other downsides as well) is all the account creating and information I am spewing across the web... For example, I really want to use ebay easily on my iPhone and there is a new app for it (http://www.everythingiphone.com/iphone-application-directory/shopping/iphonemyebay/details/) but really... am I going to trust these people with access to my ebay account? It says they don't see the password, but ebay asks to confirm the website as a trusted source... I don't want to do that.

I really feel this is going to be a bigger and bigger issue because iPhones are made for the technologically unsavvy and there is going to be some incident where some 3rd party app collects some valuable information and exploits it.
