Hello all,

To start, I did see the other thread which focused primarily on problems getting Outlook 2003 syncing properly with iPhones. I had a problem like that, but the solution was a little different.

OS is XP Prof SP2 running Outlook 2003 SP2

First I could not get my iPhone to sync anything other than bookmarks. A Google search said to look in device manager under the USB section and if your iPhone shows up as iPhone... delete the driver and restart Windows. Next time I hooked up, my iPhone was installed as an "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" (which was apparently a good thing). Once I did that I was able to sync my calendars and contacts as long as I checked the Tools, Options, Other, Advanced, COM Add-ins, Outlook iTunes Sync Add-in each time I open Outlook (and want to sync). After that... my only problem was that new meetings were showing up 3 hours different to what they were supposed to. Time was correct on my PC. Time was correct on the iPhone. I am in New Jersey, so I checked the Time Zone setting and it was set to Washington D.C. which should be fine (I thought) because it is EST so no problem, right? Well, just for the heck of it I set the Time Zone for New York City and voila... now all new calendar items come in on the correct time.

Maybe for some of you the USB driver issue will help you out... then... all you have to do is make sure the COM Add-in is checked before you sync.
