This may be a stupid quistion but help will be much appreciated i am thinking if purchasing an iphone and and was wandering if i can use my sim card and network provider which i have at the moment with the iphone

You can only use AT&T. If you are currently an AT&T customer, you can't even use your existing sim. The IPhone comes with a new sim that you can use in other phones.

Oh, not sure who the Aus provider will be, but you won't be able to put an existing card in the IPhone. You have to activate the one that is given with it.
