My birthday is in a few weeks and I am actually foregoing any presents, preparing to get the new iPhone by Christmas. The key features I am looking for are 3G (obviously), GPS, better camera, and large hard drive. Once it has those four things, I could never ask for more (by today's technology standards).

I don't think the lack of 3g is the reason the iphone is not selling. In other countries it could be but here I dont think so.

The phone is selling quite well and is on track to meet Apple's estimates. I agree with the commet about 3G in America though - this shouldn't be a showstopper for most of you guys.

As an European I would like:

3G
Better camera with flash and video capture
MMS please!
Custome ringtones (not a huge issue this one)
A subsidised contract no longer than 18 months
Apple to have sorted out the minor issues affecting V1.0
GPS although I'm willing to compromise on that. :)That would make it the dog's bollocks for me.

I understand that people are unhappy with EDGE vs. G3 .. but much as I despise the speed of EDGE, if I had to choose between :

- slow internet with good battery life
- fast internet with terrible battery life

I'd have to go for the first choice.
