I thought it was a glass screen. Why won't Windex work?

i use iKleer - sold at apple, and recommended by them too. states iphone safe, but follow the directions. You don't spray directly on the phone, you spray it on a cloth...

That's EXACTLY what my wife said!!
Given the amount of money I put in this phone, and the technology that's entirely on the surface of the phone, I wouldn't risk it...

Bah... Just scrub it four or five times across your blue jeans. It'll be fine.

I actually do that too... but as for putting liquids on it, I'm a bit sketchy. That PC World video convinced me that my jeans won't hurt it...
Plus I think another member here tried to deface a store model and could not achieve it...

I'm sure Windex wouldnt damage it, but like its been said, I wouldnt try it either.
I used to have a cleaner called iClean by Monster. It was great for cleaning my entire Macbook as well as my ipod and I used the little i had left when I first got my iPhone without any problems or anything.
I now just use a very lightly wet lint free cloth (the one that came with the cleaner I got is perfect size) and clean it that way without any problems. It gets all the fingerprints off and stuff. I also reccomend the entire front protector from a company called BoxWave.
I had bought their iPhone screen protector and 2 days later they came out with one that covers the entire front, screen top and bottom (except the actual home button). They sent me a nice email and said they would ship me the new one at no cost to me which was a nice gesture. Its very cheap and is reusable.

Forget all the above! Get a eyeglass cleaning cloth at any eyeglass store. You won't regret it. It removes ALL fingerprints and leaves that screen as shiney as the day you first opened the box. I always hate to touch the screen after I clean mine! Best money you will ever spend!

I use the little cloths that came with my Griffin cases. For the dust that collects in the little earpiece area, I use compressed air. Works great.

Yah I sell and use the Monster Screen cleen product as well. I have been using it for quite some time with the electronics i install and it weems to work great on the phone. Most of the time all you need to use it the cloth that it comes with and not the spray.

why clean if its gonna get dirty again.
i dont clean mine cuz i have the static cling on the screen, it reduces the amount of finger prints and smudges on it.

Microfiber cloths are your friend :)
I actually use a real nice one that came with my Apple Cinema Display. It works awesome and I don't need any liquid to get the screen nice and shiny and smudge free.
But you can buy good microfiber cloths at an automotive place or in the cleaning/automotive departments at KMart, Target, etc.

I will say that w/o iKleer my iPhone will smudge up pretty quickly... Since I've used it, it seems to stay cleaner longer...
Am I the only one who uses iKleer?
