Okay so I have a bunch of calendar events on my iPhone and I lost them the last time and I can't afford to lose them again because I don't have them written down anywhere else. I had to get a replacement iMac which means this application of iCal has nothing on it. How do I get my calendar events from the iPhone to iCal? Last time I did this I just went ahead and synced I believe and it synced a blank iCal and it really had me frustrated what do I need to do. Thanks in advance.

Also I have no music on the iPhone I am trying to get my music and pictures from new computer to the iPhone and it only gives me the option to "Erase and Sync" will this delete my SMS, Contacts, Email, etc? I am confused and don't wanna screw up again.

I have already created a backup that was the first thing I did when I plugged the phone into the new computer. Also I have all of my contacts backed up via Google&Address book on my new computer.

.....Any help would be greatly appreciated.

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1386Yeah I mean that's cool thanks for the link man but I am just looking for some quick help and not really looking to read apple foreign language. Anyways if I do erase and sync is it going to delete my camera roll? How do I sync my camera roll on my iPhone with iPhoto? Usually when I would connect my phone to the computer iPhoto would ask me if I want to import but for some reason it did not do that this time so I wanna make sure that I have those things saved before I decide to sync.

What you do is sync your calendar on your phone with google using google sync. That will be considered your backup. As for photos, I do not know how many you have but try emailing them. Then export your google calendar into iCal format then import to ical then delete the google sync on your phone and sync with phone.

Isn't there away though that when you plug in your phone to the computer and open iPhoto you should be able to just import the camera roll for your iPhone to the iPhoto. Does neone know how to do this?

Last time it deleted everything for some reason I was probably because on the computer I have a blank iCal with no appointments. My phone is full with appointments I need to get those appointments from the phone to iCal.

You don't have to be smart about it. I would be fine if it was windows, I am new to this apple BS I didn't really understand your post I will read it again.

If you connect your phone to the computer and then open iTunes you should see your camera roll. If you want iPhoto to open each time you connect the camera, you need to do this:

haha sorry if I cam across that way but that wasn't my intention, you asked your question twice and I answered it the first time. It is not a mac/pc thing either. It is just google sync and iTunes

1. Connect your iPhone to your Mac. ITunes should automatically open, if not then open iTunes as well.

2. On the left pane in iTunes, select your iphone from the Devices list

3. In the main window pane, select the Info tab at the top (your default view is summary)

4. Scroll Down to Calendars, the second section down.

5. Check the Sync iCal Calendars box.

6. You have a choice whether to sync to all of your calendars or just selected ones. Just check which that you want.

Hope this helps!
