We keep a folder of jpg converted images to sync our phones to. I just updated from Vista 32 to Win 7 64, and the new iTunes, just upgraded my wife's iPhone to 3.1.2 (from 3.1), and my phone sync'd fine (1600+ photos). My wife's phone will sync, but it seems to be ignoring the specified photo folder. She still has her iPhone pics.
The folder is on the computer's resident drive. There was no issue before - she had all the jpgs.
Of course, now she's irritated with me for changing stuff and losing her pictures! When mama's unhappy, everybody's unhappy! :dft002:amazed
Any ideas?

ok, new weird issue...
I just plugged in my iPhone to sync, and now iTunes is installing her apps onto my iPhone!? Clearly I've set something up wrong, but I can't figure it out...
Help?

Does she have a seperate iTunes library set up on the computer? Are you syncing to the wrong library maybe?

Hi i'm new here, but thought I would jump right in. My friend had the same problem when he converted as well because there is some sort of option that links users Shared Folders, which means if you have two accounts set up on the computer for iPhone Syncing, you may run into an issue.
I will look into it more, and repost if I find something. :)

I don't think so. The fact is, this multisync thing is new to me. We were syncing her phone to her old desktop which we just stopped using. What I have done is point her sync to the folder where the pictures are located, pressed "Apply", then "Sync", then after a very quick sync, it's done. No pictures.

This is an interesting avenue. I'll make sure the folder is set up for sharing. Meanwhile, I suppose it could be an iTunes sharing issue. If you could get more info, I'd be greatly appreciative!!

Quick update. I've gone deeply into folder allocating and made sure everything even remotely related was set to share. I even went so far as to copy the jpg folder to our iTunes Media folder. Still nothing. I just can't seem to get her iPhone to "see" the command or the folder. I'm hoping this becomes a moot point soon. She thinks her office is about to get her own laptop. I'll just copy the jpg folder onto her machine once she gets it, and we should be back to the same as we were when she was syncing to her old desktop. Meanwhile, this is still irritating and confusing, as there has to be something simple I'm overlooking.
What do people do when they have several iPhones in one household and have to sync to the same computer? We actually have three...

I have mine set up to sync my iPhone and Dad's, both on my laptop.
How I did it, was to make him his own library in iTunes. On a windows machine, just hold the shift key and start up iTunes. Keep holding the shift key until you see this pop up:

Then I just made a library called "Dad's Iphone". Then just set it all up how you want it. You'll need to re-import the music and all from where it is now and set it up to look at the "Pictures" folder you want synced.
Keep in mind that you'll get the "This phone is synced with another library, blah blah blah" message and you'll have to erase and sync your wife's phone, so it will take it a while to redo it.
HOPEFULLY that will fix the problem. Not sure what is going on with yours.
Keep us posted. I'd be interested in finding out what the problem is with it.
Good luck, we're all counting on you! :ok:ok
