Help with sync problem

Yesterday I had a catastophic failure on my PC. Had to reset to factory settings and reload software. Now I am trying to sync my iphone to newly downloaded itunes. It will allow me to merge user accounts and I have for calendar and contacts but says if I sync ringtones, apps or music it will sync from library which is empty. That means I wipe the iphone. Any way to upload from iphone into library or am I screwed. Also need to recover lost music....any way to do that?

Is the music on your phone?

Right click your phone in itunes and click transfer purchases to itunes. Ill find the free site I found recently for someone else to transfer music from phone to itunes.

this isnt the same site, but it looks like it may work. ill keep looking though.

This software did transfer my music and ringtones. It doesn't restore apps from the phone to itunes. Still looking to find out how to do that.
