Hi guys, can anyone help in the jailbreak issue i have? i tried to use both dev team's and blackra1n ways......dev team's way goes ok until tunes loads the cutoff firmware then goes directly to restore screen again....blackra1n on the other hand works fine......but overtime u reboot the iphone it goes back to restore screen on the phone (usb cable + itunes).
any ideas?
I'm guessing yours is a new 3GS. Blackra1n is a tethered jailbreak for the latest bootrom, which means you have to re-jailbreak if it reboots or the battery runs flat.
I have a factory unlocked 3GS too and have the same misgivings about blacka1n. I couldn't get pwnage to work with it at all.

so what u are saying is that there is no way yet to jailbreak the new bootrom....not blackra1n nor pwnage ? :(

:( ok thanks .....hope for a solution soon
In short, blackra1n will jailbreak it but you must never let it reboot or you'll need to do the jailbreak again.
My bet is that the dev team will have a solution to this soon.
