Screen goes black during call

Hi there,
first i upgrade to 3.0 from 2.2
problem is that when someone calls me for 3 or 4 seconds i can see who is calling me and the screen is always on during these 4 seconds,but after that the screen goes black and i can still hear the ringing and to answer i must touch home button and then to slide for answer.
any idea....

i dont use any case and the sensors are not covered

Have you jailbroke? I would try a soft reset (hold home and power buttons for 10 seconds)

If that doesnt work, restore and set up as a new device, and finally take it to Apple if that doesnt cure it.
