View Full Version : weird low battery % reading ???

ok so i jailbreak my 8g 3g with blacksnow last night got tethering ,unlock and all working fine this afternoon when my battery got low it normally reads 20% then 10% but now it reads like 2819453% or 1234572% WTF IS THIS ? and how do i get it back normal ????

can you post a screen shot? push the power button and the home button at the same time and it will flash.
im guessing try a reset by also holding down the power button and the home button until you see the apple logo on the screen.

well ive since charged it and its fully charged right now but if it does it again i will post a pic i have rebooted it a few times today cause ive been downloading lots from cydia/rock but just thought that was weird and wondered if anyone else has had the same issue and solved it

if it happens again you may wanna restore and rejailbreak and such. you should be fine though. least thats what im guessing

yea its not a biggie only problem ive had is when it gets to around the 10% it goes into safe mode same thing happened when i had quickpwn on 2.2.1 thinkin it the dang 5 row icon springboard cause i deleted off last time and it solved it but thats a whole new topic lol

I think you have a tethered jailbreak. If you have one of the 3GS' with the new bootrom, your iPhone cant run out of battery or be switched off, or you will loose your jailbreak and have to plug your phone into iTunes before its usable again.

"Tethered jailbreak for 3.1 OOTB ipt 8GB and new 3GS units" means. If own a specific late model iPhone 3GS and it loses power or needs to be rebooted for any reason, you must first tether it to a computer and use Blackra1n to turn it back on again."
