If this capability was hidden in the SDK, does that mean its likely to be a feature in a future firmware release?

I tried the compositie cable, and it didn't show the league pass, only the audio.

Have you got the genuine cable? You must use the genuine cable, otherwise video isnt shown.
Also, that app may not support video out
