Is there a flashplayer for Nonjailbroken iPhone? How about for JB? If anyone has it, dies it with decent?
I'm trying to view certain sites that only support flash.

Flash would be nice, but I feel that would make the battery issues even worse since Flash uses a lot of resources anyways.

Would be on next years phone at best. And I wouldn't put a ton of money on that.

I dont think Apple will implement it next June. Even on new hardware.

It's almost like Abobe is challenging Apple to accept Flash support...

Yes, it appears that way. Apple is not known to be meek though.

Isn't there an app in cydia that will allow you to view flash? This might be the only reason I see to jailbust my phone.

No, even jailbreaking doesnt allow you to view flash content on the iPhone. FYI - that should also be the last reason you would jailbreak.

You're thinking of yxflash player. It's just a video player that support flash (flv) videos.

He may be also thinking of iMobileCinema.

^^ That was the other one
Apple will have to swallow their pride and accept it at some point. Android phones are getting better and better, and they have flash support.
Flash support CAN be a really make or break thing, especially as more and more video is being served up over the net via flashplayer.
Flash also makes it difficult to download the content illegally. ABC will play their shows via Flash because you can't (easily) download it to your computer that way. If you just have an .mp4 files you can easily download it.

My guess is that Adobe gets so many complaints about not supporting the iPHone that Adobe decided to tell iPhone fans where to send their complaints and who is the real culprit.

Its hardly a hidden thing though. Apple are quite open in saying the iPhone doesnt support flash.
Therefore if flash is that important to people, they should buy another device. Its horses for courses in my opinion

The world is a really large place with tons of crap flying around. How may people do you think buy an iPhone deliberately wondering whether it supports flash? 1 in 100? Most people care about a few things - good/bad battery life, reception, email, web browser, media player. The rest is mostly extra and they find out as they move along.
So yes, I'll bet at least 2 out of every 5 at minimum will complain about Apple not supporting flash thinking that Adobe just isn't providing it. (And after all, Youtube seems to work.) They are getting tons of complaints.

I've been using iMobileCinema with little success...I can play some videos now off some sites that wouldn't even load before without iMobileCinema loaded.
UAFaker helps also with loading the actual website page and not automatically opening the mobile site.

I don't think I would have bought an iPhone if I knew it didn't have a flashplayer. We have Youtube but I find it worthless with it's 10 minute videos. At least three quarters of the sites I visit on my PC - I'm unable yo view on this phone.

So you would have bought which phone if you knew about the flash issue? I use the web ad nauseum and I haven't had a problem with the iPhone (and Europa can attest I'd tell you if I did.) As a browser, it is excellent. If you specifically needed flash then, no offense, that is a requirement that few would have and you should check first. Most mobile phones operate under the assumption they have a basic browser and few extras. From there, it's all luxury.

oops, my bad, i though i already asked this question, looks like all that reggaeton and dominican rap is getting in my head, but here it is
i remember, like around a year ago, that apple and adobe were negotiating on bringing flash support for the iphone, that they were already working on it and flash support should arrive soon,
i did remember this clearly, does anyone else know about this ?, ill try and find the article that provided this information

That's a first. I've never seen anyone demand an answer to a question they never asked! ;)
IIRC, Adobe submitted it to Apple and Apple declined.

Apple did indeed reject Flash.
However, I really dont miss it. Maybe 1 site I try to view a month has it. The security / piracy risk is too great for Apple to approve it I believe.
