Let's start a list of apps that are using this technology. I found a simple but effective one today on Freeappalert. It's called Retina and it will identify what color is in the camera viewfinder... it's meant to assist the colorblind. It's pretty cool (especially for free).
iTunes Store (http://ax.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/browserRedirect?url=itms%253A%252F%252Fitunes.appl e.com%252FWebObjects%252FMZStore.woa%252Fwa%252Fvi ewSoftware%253Fid%253D325049204%2526partnerId%253D 30%2526siteID%253DK_KDWsoKusQ-ohfSpane0Nrdl01ofbNPsw) Link
What other ones are you guys using?

Arcade Reality (http://www.iwikiphone.com/review/40058/games/arcade-reality-chillingo-ltd/arcade-augmented-reality). It's an arcade game in augmented reality... I don't know if it's actually so good.. according to Joe's review (http://www.iwikiphone.com/review/40058/games/arcade-reality-chillingo-ltd/arcade-augmented-reality) it seems to be a "so so" app!

Cyclopedia is probably the best I've seen so far. I know I always go on about how I like things simple but this app really is.
It's cool how you can just pan around with the iPhone and see what you've got around you. It's sort of educating.

I think about that all the time.
Not just eiC, but the internet in general.

Urbanspoon has an AR element now.
My favorite I think is Wikitude - Wikipedia content overlaid on the camera - showing towns, points of interest etc.

Except, you wouldn't actually be smelling coffee.

Is it true that it's meant to assist the colorblind? I am not quite sure, but if it is true then many people will really find it very useful. I will try to know more about it.
