BiatrisPersonally I use the "Remember The Milk (http://appshopper.com/productivity/remember-the-milk)", but there are some other great shopping apps out there - like this one here (http://appshopper.com/lifestyle/shopper).

remember the milk is good for a shopping list app, but you said you would like to manage your expenses so i would also suggest balance...its a free app you can balance your money/checking account

I like the app called Groceries. Let's you manage you list and sort by section as well as store. You can also put in the price of the item per store which will help you track expenses.

I like Listomni while a friend of mine uses and likes Shopper. Listomni is highly customizable but lacks the option to email/share a grocery list with another person as one can with Shopper. I'm finding more ways to use Listomni for other than shopping.
YMMV

I know many apps that serve this purpose... some better, some worse =) some more focused on home budget, some on personal expenses.. take a look:
HomeBudget Lite (http://www.iwikiphone.com/review/27550/finance/homebudget-lite-anishu-inc/homebudget-lite-tracks-your-expenses-home) (it's quite good even if the paid version is much better);
iXpenselt (http://www.iwikiphone.com/review/37629/finance/ixpenseit-fyi-mobileware-inc/ixpenseit-ithinkitsawesome-another-must-buy) (that seems to be the best out there, even if it's a bit expensive);
Ace Budget (http://www.iwikiphone.com/review/31181/finance/ace-budget-svt-software/ace-budget-lite-handy-app-budgeting) (good and cheap)
Pennies (http://www.iwikiphone.com/review/27116/finance/pennies-design-knife/pennies-easy-quick-and-fair) (it's a fair app.. it does what is asked to do and it's easy to use).
I hope you found useful my suggestions,
Cheers,

For shopping lists, I really like Shopper. It's really customizable, and I liked that I could reorder the "aisles" to be in the order of the stores that I go to. Very handy.
For expense tracking, though, I've used Xpense Tracker and really liked it. Most of the expense-tracking apps I looked at required you to put in a budget total and they'd subtract what you spent/input from that number. I only wanted to track how much I was spending. This app did it perfectly.

Many shopping apps are available for free today, it is very user friendly and I think you will love to use it. You will get to know prices of many items from different shops which will save your time.
