Hi I am going to getting a 8GB iPhone next month and want to port my number that I have with T-Mobile now. My Contract ends Aug. 17th with T-Mobile I was wondering will I be able to port my number at 12:00am on the 17th or will I have to wait till the morning. Thanks

I would pick up the phone 8/16. Then when you get up 8/17, set up your ITunes account. After that, go through the activation process with ITunes, and in the process it will ask you your current number you want to port and the account information. The whole process should take about 10 minutes, maybe less maybe more. You will receive text messages with activation verification, then another one with the fact that you will now receive calls on the IPhone with the ported number. Pretty straight forward.

Yea but since i am porting my number when i wake up i have to go to work so i was wondering if i do it on the 16th at 12 at night but really the 17th so over night it would port the number so i wouldn't have to worry when i get up would that be possible. Thanks

as soon as you port the number you will be able to make phone calls with the iphone - but still receive calls on your previous tmobile handset.
