Got it set on DVR (leaving for work now).

I remember the original miniseries when I was really little. I remember some very freaky parts specifically. I'm very much looking forward to seeing what JJ does with it...

Apparently this 2009 series is a remake of the 1984-85 series.
As i've come to udnerstand the V stands for visitors which are some reptilian Alien race.

All i know is the chick from Firefly/Serenity and Stargate is the Alien leader.

I'm watching this right now on ABC. I think they showed an iPhone in the beginning of this show. The lady's son, Tyler, was talking on it. That impressed me more than the space ship. They showed the V space ship right over L.A. lol

I was a little surprised when i saw Wash! :D

Sidenote: I've been watching Nathan Fillion (Mel) on Castle. Monday's episode was funny at the beginning when they showed him in his Space cowboy suit from Firefly.

The first episode was pretty good.

I remember being freaked out when my parents were into the first one. I watched the new one tonight and I liked it! My dad would have approved!

FYI-The Sci-fi channel was replaying the old episodes all day, I am sure they will continue to do so for awhile.

I watched it and I love it already. However, I am a little disappointed that the aliens are bad...I know that is stupid cause if they weren't, there would be no plot line lol.

On another note... So who's noticing this recent trend about to start?

After this vampire craze/obsession...things are moving towards Aliens now.

I can see it now... V for a tv show.
The fourth Kind... big movie
Upcoming James Cameron Movie "Avatar"
Then Stephanie Meyer (while still enamoured with Twilight) will do "The Host" movies based off her books.

Never saw the 80's series huh? Of course they are bad, they are lizards from another planet.

Anyways, I just watched it and I though it was really good. This is going to be much better than FlashFoward, which IMO, is pretty boring with horrible acting. Can't wait for next weeks episode!

I have 17 torrents running, and 4 seeding. Bandwidth is a little slow, and pirate bay keeps failing to show up despite refresh lol.

Edit:
K i stopped seeding the 4 torrents. It loaded a full page of episodes. (This is the only thing i hate about torrenting. If you torrent, you cant watch anything that streams because the stream will take forever to load. oh well.

Be careful with your torrents. I got a letter from my ISP on Tuesday that flagged an episode of CSI: Miami I downloaded in October. CBS sent a letter to my ISP and they in turn contacted me. One more offense and they can cut my service. Please be careful. I've just reactivated my Netflix account...

They're all really old movies. Nothing current coming from the last 4 years to be honest.

Metropolis, Requiem for a dream, Cronos, La Niña Santa, 2046, The rules of the game, 8½, Memento.

To name a few. Some are REALLY REALLY old... like The Rules of the Game which was made in 1939 and Metropolis which is 1927... and its a silent film.

Most of the ones running right now, you cant go out and buy...and they have little to no seeders. T_T. Either that, or they're not on any online streaming websites. However i did manage to find a few at a public library (because they're THAT old).
